Talented multi-disciplinary designer who has the engineering mind of an architect plus the creative spirit of an artist. As a licensed architect, he has used his ingenuity to create award winning designs of our built environment. And as an artist, his installations which experiment with new ways for people to interact with digital technology have been recognized by various organizations and media. Currently as a software developer, Harold designs and builds mobile apps and AR/VR experiences by combining his architectural sense, engineering skills, and artistic vision.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

FlexCharging, Redmond, Washington

UI Developer (August 2021 - Present)

  • Lead design team in improving user experience of FlexCharging, an EV smart charging app.

  • Conduct usability tests, study user feedback, and prototype iterations of UI changes.

  • Analyze EV charging data to formulate visualization and craft an intuitive interface.

  • Prioritize implementing new UI features while simultaneously maintaining existing UI functionality.

  • Collaborate with backend developers for optimization of frontend success.

Freelance Designer (July 2017 - Present)

  • Research XR technology, ideate new concepts, and build working prototypes using industry standard tools including Unity, C#, Blender, and Adobe Audition.

  • Teach NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s “Professional Certificate in AR-VR Development and 3D Graphics” course as a Program Leader.

  • Lead developer of “cAReconnect”, an AR homecare room planning app, which was a winner of the “Immersive Healthcare Hackathon”.

  • Completed and launched AR apps built with Unity by successfully fixing bugs and optimizing performance while enhancing the apps with value-added features.

  • Produced 3D assets of varying scales using Blender, ranging from game characters in an AR action game to architectural elements of an AR room planning app.

  • Invented a two-way QR code scanning system for a Digital Contact Management mobile app in C# which has been filed for a patent.
